History
Almost 100 years ago Nippon "Yusen" Kaisha launched a company that focuses on rapid, reliable freight transport. At that time the Japanese company was small and focused primarily on ship transport. The entire Yusen fleet consisted of three rapid steamships.
The breakthrough came in 1955, when Yusen was one of the first companies to realise that the rapid developments taking place in aviation offered enormous opportunities for freight transport companies. The powerful combination of air and sea transport in 1955 formed the basis for founding Yusen Air & Sea Services.
In 2006, Yusen Air & Sea Services is one of the leading players in the world of the logistics, with more than 200 sites in 31 important countries. Yusen’s headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan.
